Immerse yourself in the rich Indigenous artistic traditions of the Shipibo-Conibo people of Peru’s Ucayali River basin, the Kogi of Colombia’s coastal mountains, and the Wixáritari Huichol from the Sierra Madre Occidental in Central Mexico. Each community's art reflects deep spiritual meanings and is a vital expression of their cultural beliefs and practices.
Join Mary Olivar, Executive Director of the Center for Shamanic Education and Exchange, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving these indigenous traditions. Mary will provide insight into the symbolism, cultural significance, and spiritual practices that these artworks embody, as well as the ongoing efforts to support these communities in perpetuating their ancestral knowledge.
