Extra Medium is a group show organized by Ling-Lin Ku, Emily Lee, Ryan Crowley, and Henry Smith. This group show of small things is a sculptural constellation, operating somewhere in between flea market and medicine cabinet. Everything is for sale, some things are for touching. By bringing these small things out of our respective studios and into the public, we invite artists and visitors to reframe their relationship with buying art and caring for the inanimate.

Small things in a studio feel like drumrolls to bigger things and more finished products. Consider these things roommates, coaches, teachers, peers. How can we lubricate the relationship between people and things? Can living with small things make us more empathetic? What if we traded labor for the objects with whom we have relationships with?
